Recommended points

Kamikatsu Awa Bancha is a traditional tea made in small quantities by people living in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima Prefecture. Made during the hottest summer months, mature tea leaves are hand picked from wild tea trees, fermented in barrels for up to three weeks, and sun-dried.

Recommended points

Kamikatsu Awa Bancha is a unique fermented green tea with a refreshing sour taste. After picking, boiling, and kneading, the tea leaves are packed firmly into a barrel, sealed with basho leaves, weighed with a weight, and fermented lactic acid bacteria. This fermentation process reduces the acidity, bitterness and astringency that is underlying green tea.

Kamikatsu Awa Bancha Tea Box Limited Edition!
Based on the Zero Waste philosophy, the tea packaging design was inspired by the traditional Japanese tea box, "Tea Box." Tea boxes are handmade Japanese cedar boxes that have been used to preserve and transport tea leaves since the late Edo period (1800s). Each part of the tea box is made by Kamikatsu craftsmen who create products that connect people and nature.
This tea box is more than just a package. It embodies the world's vision of value local resources and technology and encourages conscious consumption.
